Robert and I started our essential oils in Oklahoma journey in 2015 when our 19 month-old son Enzo was hospitalized for nine days. He suffered many respiratory infections and illnesses which let to his lengthy hospital stay. As his mother, I didn't leave his side for that entire time, staying right there beside him in the hospital room.  Seeing him hooked up to all those tubes, IVs, and hospital machines was frightening.

While sitting there beside Enzo, I kept asking myself what could Robert and I have done differently to prevent such a horrible respiratory illness with our baby boy. I prayed for countless hours there in the hospital room for God to give me guidance and wisdom on what additional measures to take once our son Enzo was released from the hospital. While sitting there pondering and praying, I remembered that several years prior someone sold me a tiny, little brown bottle of Oklahoma essential oils, but I had never even used it. Recalling this, I began researching about the possible health benefits of essential oils. 

Sitting there in the hospital with my smartphone for over a week, I read many scientific articles and reviews on various types of essential oils. The more I read, the more fascinated I became about the potential healing benefits of essential oils. The more I read, I began wondering if I would be able to find pure therapeutic essential oils in Oklahoma once Enzo was released from the hospital.  

Through my research I leaned that there were several companies which promoted or distributed essential oils for consumer use. I leaned that there were major differences between 100% pure, therapeutic, organic essential oils versus synthetically produced or diluted essential oils in Oklahoma. 

My continued research led me to the doTERRA essential oils in Tulsa,  Oklahoma. After reading countless articles, websites, and research by various authors, scientists, and essential oils companies, I learned that there were no industry regulations that prevented companies from taking shortcuts in the production of essential oils. After further research, I realized that if there was one essential oil company that I could trust for its integrity and purity, it was doTERRA.  

The experience and dedication of the doTERRA owners and leadership team seemed to be of high integrity. Most of them had worked in the essential oils industry for years previously to starting doTERRA. During their time working with other essential oils companies, the founders realized that many essential oils companies often took shortcuts and made compromises in the sourcing and production of essential oils. This compromise had resulted in less than pure essential oils. Because of that, the founding leaders of doTERRA started their company with a vision to source and produce only pure, organic essential oils, without any fillers, synthetics, or substitutes. 

With 9 full days and the passion and desire to raise the health standards for my children and family, it became obvious to me that doTERRA essentials in Oklahoma was the direction that God was leading me to take. When Enzo was released from the hospital, I shared my research and vision with Robert, and together we decided to bring the doTERRA essential oils into our Oklahoma household. 

Within a few short days we received a package containing a Natural Solutions kit of Oklahoma essential oils from doTERRA. It was our real first experience with essential oils in Oklahoma. At that point we were not yet familiar at all with how to use or apply the doTERRA essential oils for their Oklahoma family. Although with support from doTERRA leadership and training, we were able to learn the proper Oklahoma essential oil application. However that first evening after we received our Natural Solutions kit of doTERRA essential oils in Oklahoma we took a step of faith and used the Breathe blend of essential oils on our baby boy Enzo who had only recently been released from the hospital for respiratory distress. 

After one night of using Breathe essential oil in the diffuser in Enzo's bedroom, we noticed a big difference with how he was breathing and acting the following morning.
